Deepen your yoga practice by priming the movement systems to create more efficient muscular activation in poses. Ieva and Alena will guide you into static yoga poses that will be followed with a combination of resistance stretching, somatic movement and targeted muscular activation. This engages smaller muscle groups allowing you to refine your practice. Each workshop will be completed with a guided Yoga Nidra Meditation to facilitate release, renewal and integration. Build awareness of how the joints and muscles move together to affect changes in the nervous system. These workshops are being offered in a series of 3, targeting specific areas of the body. They can be taken as a stand-alone experience or you can enjoy all three for whole body renewal!
July 24th Workshop 1 focuses on the integrity of the hands and wrists, and the relationship to the shoulders, neck and ribs.
August 7 Workshop 2 focuses on the mobility and positioning of the feet and their relationship to the knees, hips and back.
August 28 Workshop 3 integrates the head, spine and pelvis into a full body awareness during practice and beyond.
